Industry: Visual Branding, Packaging Design
Following several illustration-forward projects, I wanted to get out there and explore a different visual approach, specifically, one more focused on typography, logo creation, and atmosphere as a storytelling medium. Aura is a conceptual skincare brand that transforms everyday routines into intentional rituals.
Centered around three emotional connections, Bloom, Meditate, and Glow, the brand pairs nourishing ingredients with immersive visuals to create an experience that cares for both the skin and the spirit!
Mood Boarding ๐จ
Here we can get an idea of where my head was at starting the project. I wanted dreamy gradients, bold typefaces, and celestial imagery to lead the branding. After brainstorming, I set out and selected the fonts I planned to use for the header and body, as well as picked out color palettes that I felt best matched my vision.


Brand Identity ๐ซ
From the beginning, I knew I wanted the logo to somehow incorporate an orbital star motif. I explored several iterations, constantly refining the placement of the orbit, adjusting the relationship between the typography and tagline, and experimenting with the overall balance of the mark.
The final logo captures the brand's dreamy, celestial identity while remaining clean, recognizable, and versatile across both packaging and digital applications. I also developed a simplified icon for smaller touch points, like the Instagram profile image for a mock-up I will present later!

Design Process & Iterations ๐ก
In addition to many logo variations, one of the biggest challenges was creating packaging that felt emotionally expressive without overwhelming the consumer. I tested many compositions, gradually improving each iteration by refining the typographic hierarchy, reducing unnecessary elements, and allowing color to become the primary storytelling device. The resulting system feels cohesive across each collection while giving every product its own distinct personality through its unique gradient and messaging!


Extending the Experience ๐
With the core identity established, I expanded Aura beyond just the flat designs to a series of product mockups alongside a social media campaign that introduced the three collections while reinforcing the brand's calming, aspirational aesthetic! Together, these assets helped transform Aura from a simple packaging concept into a living, cohesive brand.
