Project Overview
Type: Professional
Industry: Visual Identity, Production
Summer on campus often feels quieter, so the University Centers Marketing team set out to transform our Price Center into a lively destination through Tropical Vacation!
A campaign inspired by sunny getaways, vibrant fruit, and beachside picnics, my role was to develop the campaign's visual identity and translate the established creative direction into a cohesive system across both digital and physical marketing materials.
Mood Boarding ๐จ
Some snippets from the initial proposal that the Marketing team presented to me! It's worth noting that the concept did change quite a bit throughout the process, so the end result doesn't reflect these ideas to a T.

Design Process & Iterations ๐ก
Instead of designing each deliverable individually, I began by establishing the campaign's visual language through the horizontal atrium banner, one of the larger installations on campus. Because it would become the foundation for every other application, I prioritized refining its layout, typography, illustrations, and graphic elements before expanding the campaign across the other materials.
Below are the iterations I went through, each one going to my manager for feedback and back to me for revisions. Once the visual direction was approved, these assets became the foundation for the remaining deliverables!

Brand Identity ๐ฅฅ
Creating a library of custom assets: the logo, tropical illustrations, fruit graphics, and postcard-inspired stamp, made it easier to adapt the campaign across various formats!

Bringing Summer to Socials โ๏ธ
With the visual system established, I moved into creating a series of Instagram graphics for our social media.

The designs were then rearranged to fit WebHero banners, maintaining the playful identity while accommodating a wider digital format.

Postcards & Takeaways ๐ด
This was another project that challenged me to think beyond individual deliverables and instead design a campaign that could adapt across a variety of formats without losing its identity. Creating workable assets early in the process allowed the campaign to scale seamlessly from environmental graphics to digital marketing while maintaining a consistent and recognizable look.
